This couple had an interesting start.
They were each attracted to the other more than they’d been attracted to anyone in the past. But both are cautious of relationships.
Time passes with them spending increasing time together, and then work and his past come between them. Now they need to decide if this makes their bond stronger or if it’s the end of their relationship.

A very enjoyable addition to to the Harmony Bay series. Selena and Linc are very different people , she is quiet works in her family firm and is content with her life,he ruins a very successful security company with many clients and staff who he has known for many years since his time in the military. Their paths cross when someone she knows takes her and a group of his friends to a party at Lincs. From their inauspicious beginning ,they start seeing each other though at first appearances they are very different people. Linc’s company starts to experience major problems caused by a competitor which takes up a lot of time but he finds time for Selena and their relationship steadily grows then Linc has an unexpected visitor and his life changes in unforeseen ways, which brings new challenges to Linc and his relationship with Selina. Their relationship grows throughout the book with enough events bringing drama and change to their lives to hold your attention. I thoroughly enjoyed this book with its likeable characters and some drama and intrigue in their journey towards their happy ever after.

The author did an amazing job of writing with true feeling that was exciting on every page.

Never My Love is a unusual love story full of suspicious actives happening to the TSR Security group. When Selena is forced to go to a party by her sister Caly due to the bet made at Julia’s wedding she never dreamed she would drink too much and pass out and wake up with a man on the other side of the bed she woke up in. Thank goodness she was fully dressed. She couldn’t find her shoes so she left the house and crawled under the fence to go home. Now she is embarrassed of what happened and refused to tell her sisters. When the head of TSR comes into her real estate office calling her his Cinderella holding her shoes she is so embarrassed. He wants to meet her. He formally introduced himself as Linc and wants to go to lunch. They start seeing each other and Selena starts falling for Linc. Then all of a sudden he stops calling or coming by. She decides he has fulfilled his dating her and onto another woman. But when she sees him again she finds out he is a daddy of a six year old boy from his loveless three week marriage. She agrees to help with Caid. But, Selena has questions about Linc and his real intentions.
His firm is up for the bid on the art center contract in Harmony Bay and all of the sudden his company starts taking security breaches that they foil each time before any data is breached. But where do they look for the snake trying to kill you?

Selena Kerrigan is an introverted, reserved woman who likes to spend her free time alone, or with her close-knit family. Instead, she devotes her life and time to working in her family’s successful real estate business. She has no interest in wasting time on making friends, dating or even romance.
On the other hand, her younger sister is the exact opposite. She decides that Selena needs to get out to meet people and learn to enjoy her life. Thus, her sister tricks her into going to a huge party given by Lincoln “Linc” Caldwell, a rich man who has created a very successful security system. Like Selena, he too has no desire to waste his time on romance. He devotes his life to his career and his security system.
At this party, Selena decides, for once, that she will let herself go and drink more alcohol than usual. Unfortunately, due to her inexperience in consuming liquor, she passes out – right in front of Linc. When Linc catches her, he unexpectedly sees something unusual and interesting in this stranger and lets her sleep in his bed for the night.
When Selena wakes up, she is relieved to see that she still has her clothes on, but embarrassed that this happened in front of her host. In spite of that, she too feels drawn to this handsome man who is unlike anyone she has ever met before. Still, when Selena wakes up, she gets scared and sneaks out of the house.
Linc is so intrigued by this innocent, honest, but unknown woman, he decides to look for her. When, he finally locates her, he finds himself asking her out – over and over again. Their relationship is so unexpected and unusual for them, they have no idea what is slowly happening to them.
Of course, no relationship cannot be without any snags to slow them down a little. Linc discovers that someone is sabotaging his security system with a series of sophisticated cyber-attacks that he must uncover before it destroys all of his work. He also discovers a secret that changes his life forever.
This is a beautiful and heart-warming story where two interesting and unconventional characters fall in love with each other without actually being aware that it is happening.

Selena had a college crush and secret. Lincoln a medically discharged Navy Seal growing a successful security business. Selena losses a bet to her sister and it forces her to attend Lincoln party. It only took two drinks to affect Selena to a point where she passed out but not before Lincoln puts her into his bedroom. Her college crush shows up in town and is Lincoln competition. The characters battle with past secrets and current events that play with their emotions. Selena and Lincoln both forced to reflect on their past and future lives and make tough choices. Good read.

Selena was the least outgoing of all her sisters. Unfortunately she had a bad experience at a party when she graduated college and made her less trusting of men. One of her sisters bets she won’t go to a party at a wealthy person’s house with her since she hardly goes any where. I was glad she took the bet as she unknowingly met the wealthy man, Linc, at his party and something crazy happened. Selena was surprised when he found her at her office to return her shoes. He was intrigued with her and nothing like most of the women he dated. Linc’s security company was bidding on a high profile job in their town, and Selena’s sister was on the committee to determine who got the contract. Of course this put doubts in her head of why Linc would want to date her. The two had a good start getting to know each other until someone tried to sabotage Linc’s company as well as a big surprise that came into Linc’s life from his past which takes up so much of his time. Miscommunication caused Selena and Linc to not talk for a while. This was suspenseful at times, and a sweet love story. I encourage you to read the book.

Never My Love is the second book in the Harmony Bay Series. I have read many books by Shirleen Davies, loving her historical fiction books but now I am finding that I love the contemporary small-town romance books in this series too. The main characters, Selena Kerrigan and Lincoln Caldwell are likable, resilient and resourceful. Life in the charming small-town suits them just find, with neither feeling the need to look for love, until they meet. A story that could be reality in the small town where I live. I loved it. The story has all that I enjoy reading, the characters, the writing of a wonderful storyline, the mystery, the problems, the solutions and the happily-ever-after.

Selena is the quiet Kerrigan sister, she’s dragged to a party at Linc’s house by her sister, then loses her, she ends up in a bed having had a bit too much to drink. Linc is intrigued by her and keeps making the time to see her and woo her. She doesn’t understand what he can see in her and has serious self doubt and is very unconfident with men but in her work, as a partner in the estate agents that her father runs, she’s very confident.
Then Linc isn’t in touch with her for several days, and she decides that he doesn’t want to see her anymore, although he hasn’t said that, in fact he has personal and professional things to deal with, but he’s put her to the end of his queue of things to do, not good for her.
Can they communicate better?

I’m so enjoying this series and all the characters. I absolutely loved Selena and Linc’s story. These two are just what the other needs. Their story captivated me from the beginning and I had a hard time putting it down. I’m hoping Dez and Caly get a story soon.

A wonderfully written and suspense filled romance with plenty of intrigue. Selena works at the family real estate office. She was the most reserved of the five sisters. The middle sister bet her she would not go to this big party, so she did. She was a total light weight, when it came to alcohol, and the owner of the house had her lay down. When she woke, she was so embarrassed. She ran leaving her shoes behind. Linc found them returning them to her at the office. Linc ran his own security company with friends, he was in the military with. It took some doing on his part, but he soon got Selena to agree to date him. Then things started to go wrong within his company. Companies they were providing cyber security for were having attacks from unknown sources. They needed to find the source and stop it. Finally, the biggest surprise of all came to stay. Would Linc and Selena find their happily ever after?

He is part of a security firm that he started after leaving his career as a Navy SEAL after injuries that made it mandatory to leave on a medical discharge. After a party at his house, she disappears with him only knowing her first name. While they start to date, Linc’s business starts suffering from cyber-attacks threatening the successful business he worked so hard to build up. Then he is faced with his past throwing another wrench into his life. During this time there is suspense, suspicion, and trust issues thrown in. This is a great story.

However, she found herself spending the night when she had too much to drink, making her escape in the morning. When Linc found her again he persuaded her to attend an event with him. As their relationship develops, threats to Linc’s security business threaten to derail their future. As ever, some surprising twists and turns in this story as these two navigate a way to have a future together. Thoroughly enjoyable read.

I never pass up the opportunity to read a Shirleen Davies’ book. The first book in this series featuring Harmony Bay, Idaho, is quite a bit different from the westerns she often writes. Never My Love, featuring Selena Kerrigan and Lincoln Caldwell, is the second book in the series.
Selena is quiet and cautious, but when she loses a bet to her “party-girl” sister, Selena finds herself at a party in a rich man’s huge mansion. She drinks too much and falls asleep in his bed, leading to a Cinderella-type experience days later. Linc and Selena form a connection they can’t fight, experiencing twists and turns as their relationship progresses.
This was one book that I couldn’t get enough of. I totally enjoyed finding time to sneak in a few more chapters until I got toward the end and decided just to read until I finished. I love those kinds of books! I’m already looking forward to the next books in the series.

Lincoln and Selena are as different as they can be. He runs a security firm, is rich and has a large close knit group of friends while she works in the family firm with her sisters, spends most of her time alone and is quiet.
Work is the main focus for both of them but after meeting at his party both of their lives start changing. When they start seeing each other outside forces bring trouble which may put a stop to the relationship before it gets going. Lincoln has to spend a lot of time trying to save his company from an attack and has little time to spend with Selena. Will she understand or will she end things?
Another great written story with wonderful characters and a plot line that draws you in and keeps you reading.

Selena worked hard in her family business, keeping a low profile so going to a party with her youngest sister was out of her comfort zone. So when one drink made her feel unwed and Lincoln the owner put her to bed to sleep, she was shocked to wake up next to him so ran away !
But Lincoln ex military runs a security business so tracking her down was his first job , that done he decided she was the one!
However threats to the business and his ex father in law appearing threw a huge obstacle in the way. Can the find a way to overcome and find a life together, get reading and enjoy!

This is a wonderful, very well written, clean, suspenseful, read, with a lot going on in it!!! The characters are wonderful, very well introduced and developed.
Selena Kerrigan is the second of 5 Kerrigan sisters and the most reserved of them as she doesn’t do much socializing beyond what she needs too for the real estate business she and her sisters have.
One day Caly, the middle Kerrigan sister, dares Selena to go to a house party with her. Caly wins and Selena goes with her. Selena is not used to drinking and after a minimal amount of alcohol, she is rather drunk and talks with people she doesn’t know and also gives advice on real estate in the area. While at the party she meets Lincoln Caldwell, who owns the house, which she didn’t know. Linc instantly pics up on the fact that Selena isn’t the normal party goer and that she has something real and substantial to her.
Selena passes out and Linc, puts her in his bed and wakes up to find her gone, but her shoes still there and he is determined to find her and learn more about her.
Linc was a Navy Seal and also owns a high-tech security firm. Suddenly his clients and firm are getting cyber attacked and as he tries to solve that and date Selena, he is suddenly informed that he has a son, who he suddenly has to take care of!!! Seems Linc also forgot to tell Selena he was briefly married years ago, a big no no as they had sworn to be 100% honest with each other.
This is a great story, packed with a lot of drama and intrigue, along with a romance. It is part of a series, but is definitely a stand-alone page turning story with a wonderful HEA

this is a wonderful story about over coming the past and trusting to go forward. Selena works with her sisters at the real estate officer and Linc and some friends have a security operation. she has a problem with alcohol and he finds her and helps her and wants to become more but she does not know if she can trust him and someone is trying to bring his company down. if you like romance and suspense you will want to read the story. it is well written i am looking forward to the next book. i was given a copy of the book but this is an honest review

I totally enjoyed this clean romantic suspense. Selena Kerrigan is a naive young woman who doesn’t frequent the party scene and has rarely dated. When her sisters make a bet and dare her to go to a big party, she caves and attends. She also finds that liquor is not her friend, passing out in the bed of the party’s host, Linc Caldwell. Linc, a former SEAL, is now head of TSR, a computer security team.
Waking up alongside Linc, a total stranger to Selena, in his bed, Selena is happy to see that she is still fully dressed and, in a panic, flees to her car and drives away, sans shoes. When Linc awakes, he wonders where the beautiful woman he helped last night went. But, AHA! She left her shoes behind, and Linc’s search to find her begins. Linc has never been seriously interested in any woman before. He’s more of a love ’em & leave ’em type. But what is it about Selena that makes him want to get to know her more? When a well-kept secret from Linc’s past arrives, will it destroy their relationship? And who’s trying to destroy his company & their reputation? “Never My Love” is a sweet Harmony Bay story reflecting caring and honest people amidst illegal hacking, bribery and deceit by a competitive company. Caid also adds his energy and fun to the mix! I recommend this book.
