Cody returned to Whistle Rock Ranch just like, he left without a word of explanation. He did return a charged man more mature, than he left. Hannah, the girl Cody left behind had a hard time deciding if she wanted to give him a second chance, because she had already picked the pieces of her life up once. We heard about the projects Jonah was working on. Someone was sabotaging the ranch, so everyone was on high alert and extra security was hired. There were plenty of surprises along the way. A book you want to slow down and read carefully to catch all the clues, or you could miss some vital information. A wonderful story full of suspense, mystery, intrigue, and a must read epilogue.

Who is trying to sabotage the ranch and why is the mystery. Cody has a secret in addition to why he left unexpectedly. Finally revealing it to Hannah helps her understand his actions. Action and romance new characters and a twist at the end. Enjoyed the read.

Sweet and Emotional Romance. Very good second chance. I love his determination and patience with convincing drive to put all his cards on the table. She’s skittish and makes him earn her trust again. I think this is well written, with a bit of small town shenanigans and mysterious ranch happenings all come together nicely and adds intrigue to their rebuilding romance. Cody is back at the ranch after taking off during the night 2 years ago. but now he wants to stay and make it up to Hannah and show everyone that he will stay. at the ranch. things are happening and someone could get hurt. the barn burns down and the bunkhouse is flooded among other things. this is a page turning story. i was given a copy of the book but this is an honest review

There was so much going on in this story. Someone is causing mischief both at the ranch and in town. People are returning and leaving town… and it looks like there’s romance in the air.
I like the way the different happenings mesh, and I really like the characters. They were relatable and realistic.

Another very enjoyable visit to Whistlerock Ranch with its enjoyable mix of new characters whose story is the main focus of the book mixed with familiar characters from earlier books in the series. Can Cody win back Hannah when he returns to Whistlerock Ranch after leaving her heartbroken when he left two years before without a word and hadn’t contacted her since. During those two years Hannah has rebuilt her life and has built up a successful business, so does she need him or for that matter trust him enough to let him back into her life. Add in some mysterious events bringing danger to the ranch and everyone there and you have another great read in this series that doesn’t disappoint.

The Cowboy’s Change of Heart is a story full of feelings. Cody has returned to Whistle Rock Ranch to work again after leaving for the last two years with no word to Hannah. Hannah loved him and his leaving broke her heart. She used opening her own clothing store to get her through the time Cody was gone. Now that he has returned he still loves Hannah and wanted to tell her why he left in the middle of the night leaving no word of where he was going. Her boyfriend from high school had came up to her a few days earlier and wanted to catch up. He even tried to talk Hannah into going to Montana with him for his “promotion” at the bank. He put doubt and fear in Hannah about the relationship she was making with Cody. Cody could tell she was upset but would not tell him at first.
When Cody returned to Whistle Rock Ranch they told him about the kitchen used for all the hands and people at the Dude Ranch had flooded and was having to use one of the kitchens at one of the owners houses to do the cooking. Then a gate fell apart and Cody tells Wyatt that the wood has been sawed partially through each piece. Wyatt doesn’t believe anything like that is happening. Then the bunkhouse water line breaks and it starts flooding. But when Cody and Liam almost get killed in another mysterious accident the sheriff and deputies are called and foul play is found. Now the ranch is in trouble and so are everyone working there or living there. The sheriff vows that he will not stop till they figure out who is doing all this sabotage.
A story that will not disappoint. It has heartbreak, a second chance, a new love, and mystery. What more could you asked for!!

The Cowboy’s Change of Heart by Shirleen Davies is a heartfelt story. Filled with second chances, heartache, love, mischief, sabotage and mystery. The characters are realistic and easy to relate to. The plot is wonderful, heartfelt and well written. A must read. A satisfying and clean Contemporary Western Romance.

Cody has returned to Brilliance having left suddenly two years earlier. Hannah was heartbroken when he left without telling her, thinking that Cody was her future. Now she has her own boutique business and is reluctant to let Cody back into her life. He in turn is determined to speak to her and explain why he left. Eventually Hannah agreed to listen, insisting that she still wouldn’t give him a second chance. However, once she learned all of his reasons for his behaviour and she was convinced that he wouldn’t leave her again, both Hannah and Cody worked out how they could have a future together.

It was great to visit Whistle Rock Ranch and Brilliance again. Cody left two years ago without an explanation. When he returns Hannah isn’t she what to think or if she should trust him again. These two have a lot to work through to get to their HEA. We also get a glimpse of Jonah and Vivi’s story. It all makes for a captivating read that I read straight through.

Shirleen captures the essence of small town country life and love. It makes you want to move there, to experience the closeness and familiarity that only country people know how to achieve. Made me homesick, and brought my mind back to family and friends, and growing up on the farm.

I enjoyed this clean contemporary cowboy romance. I liked the reacquaintance of the characters from previous books as well as the caring community of a small town. There are secrets, mystery, heartwarming kisses, second chances, and so much more! I enjoyed “The Cowboy’s Change of Heart’, but I felt it ended abruptly with a BIG mystery at the Whistle Rock Ranch. I’m hoping the next book reveals the guilty party in the cliffhanger. Because of the cliffhanger, I took 1 star away and gave a 4-star review. I received a complimentary ARC of t his book and have voluntarily given my honest opinion in this review.

The Cowboy’s Change of Heart by Shirleen Davies has Cody Parker as the cowboy who has a change of heart. He had been away for two years having snuck away during the night to now return to Whistler Rock Ranch. I thought it was interesting that Wyatt called him the prodigal son returning when Wyatt had left and stayed away for much longer. Different circumstances but still interesting.
The twelve book in the Cowboys of Whistle Rock Ranch is just as appealing and heartfelt as the first book which is Wyatt’s story. Authentic characters that are not perfect but learn from the past while striving to do their best now, you will love them as I do. I didn’t want Hannah to give in too soon but was rooting for her to forgive Cody, giving them a second chance. Plus, there are the “accidents” happening on the ranch, which keeps the suspense building. An exciting read from the beginning to the very end.

Cody and Hannah’s story almost picks up where it left off. Cody disappeared from Brilliance 2 years ago without a word to anyone, especially Hannah nor his employer, Whistle Rock Ranch! He suddenly returns 2 years later and unloads his horse and goes immediately back to work as if he had never missed a day. In that time Hannah is off and running with her clothing boutique, she is becoming a local success with her business and has her feet firmly on the ground. Hannah is both shocked and thrilled to hear that Cody is back. She wonders why he left and is he really back for good as she wonders is he truly back for good. Also going on is a series of incidents at the ranch that have become serious and almost killing Cody and another one of the hands! So, there is also an investigation going on as to who would want to hurt or has a grievance against Whistle Rock Ranch or its owners. This is an extremely well written clean book by Shirleen Davies. The characters are very well introduced and developed through the story. It has mystery, drama, adventure, romance with a happily ever after, which we all love and much more!! Warning, once you start it, you will not want to put it down!! It’s a Bonafide page turner

This latest installment in the series Cowboys of Whistle Rock Ranch is one of the best yet. (I think I say this every time Shirleen Davies comes out with another book.) What I noticed about this one is that all the little details came together to make the story complete. I loved how the relationship between Hannah’s brother and Cody grew as they worked together on the ranch. Hannah connected with other women in town to form lasting relationships. It felt good to see how all the pieces fit together to give the book the ending it deserved.

This story is filled with mystery, love, and a second chance. Another great story by Shirleen Davies.

This is a poignant story that revolves around Cody and Hannah, two flawed characters who are madly in love who are in the midst of preparing for their wedding. They both low self-confidence due to past incidences in their lives.
The result is that Cody unintentionally hurts Hannah when, without a word to Hannah, he leaves town before the wedding. When he leaves he breaks her heart, destroys her self-confidence, and shatters her belief in love. At that point, she decides to devote her life to starting up her own business as a dressmaker and forget about love.
Surprisingly, after a two year estrangement, Cody returns to town without letting anybody know ahead of time. He goes back to his old job at Whistle Rock Ranch, and makes plans to reunite with Hannah.
However Hannah is very confused when Cody returns. She realizes that she still has feelings for him, but she can’t forgive or forget how much he hurt her. She has built a happy life without him, and she doesn’t want to ruin it. In spite of that, Cody attempts to wear her down, little-by-little.
Ms. Davies creates a story that contains a riveting plot, lots of action and many confusing twists. Someone is menacing the ranch, cowboys and the horses on Whistle Rock Ranch by setting up “accidents” that put everyone’s life in danger. The rancher’s must find out who it is before someone gets seriously injured.
To make matters worse, an old boyfriend of Hannah returns to town and manages to convince her that Cody will probably leave her again. This reawakens Hannah’s insecurities about Cody’s feelings which causes her to step back from their new relationship.

Hannah and Cody were sweethearts in high school until he up and left without explanation only to return two years later working at Whistle Rock Ranch where some mysterious things keep happening. Hannah has moved on during his time away with her boutique shop and she is not sure if she can trust her heart to him again. We have a second chance romance going on while some danger is lurking at the ranch. Wonderful book.

They both had to put aside their hurt and anger they each had for the other in order to resolve their issues and move forward with a love that was stronger than ever. I love Shirleen’s historical series, not much a fan of the contemporary books. Book had a good story line, but I was disappointed by the lack of suspense building up to the ending. Just sort of ho-hum.

Finally, my first Shirleen Davies series finished! I loved THE COWBOY’S CHANGE OF HEART so much and I’m so happy I got to binge read the whole series this month! All twelve of them! Cody and Hannah both have fear of the past and what happened between them. Cody returns to Whistle Rock Ranch to work there again after leaving without a word to Hannah. Hannah loved him and his leaving broke her heart. He never contacted her to try and explain why he left. Its been two years and she is still in love with him. Will they find a way to be together? THE COWBOY’S CHANGE OF HEART is so heart tugging, the reader will be shocked how quickly they finish it.
THE COWBOY’S CHANGE OF HEART is a very emotional and heartwarming story. Cody realizes his feelings for Hannah are still very real. He knows Hannah has a wall built up around her heart, but then again, so has Wyatt. But he can’t seem to stop himself from wanting to be with her again. THE COWBOY’S CHANGE OF HEART has them both trying to fight their feelings for eachother, but also letting go of their past. Hannah and Cody both have trust issues and watching them dance around each other is truly very funny at times. You can’t help but feel bad for both of them and all they are going through. Of course, the old addage holds true. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder!
Shirleen Davies has quickly become one of my favorite authors. She made me feel so many different things while I was reading her heart tugging story. One minute I’m giggling and the next there is a huge lump in my throat. Cody is still attracted to Hannah when he returns to the ranch and feels a deep connection to her he has never felt before. He must win her confidence to help her be able to live free of her fears. All of the characters are flawed in different ways, but you will find yourself cheering for them throughout THE COWBOY’S CHANGE OF HEART. I just wanted to reach in the pages and give them all hugs. The end of the story is filled with redemption, love and a renewed sense of hope, which rounds out this lovely story perfectly. I can’t wait to read more by this wonderful author.
